After
spending hundreds of dollars on different styles and brands
of pumps (each of which the Pump Company promised was
the answer to all our prayers), we set about to remedy
the problem ourselves. First we tried bolting the pump
solid to the tractor frame, using a factory coupler. The
shaft broke after a day and a half-but we didn't give
up. Bolting the pump solid seemed to be the answer, but
we incorporated a flex coupler into the design. It worked!
What was once a nightmare has now become a pleasure. The
Pump Doctor was established in 1985 so we could share
this wonderful device with other hardworking farmers in
the same boat. When properly installed, the Pump Doctor
support will increase pump life at least 2 to 3 times!
